As the campaigns for the 2020 presidential candidates begin preparations for the debate season starting in June, we likely won’t see many shifts in the odds to win the White House happen, barring some unforeseen breaking news.

Fortunately, another “presidential” election (from a different land and time period) will be decided in the next month and has betting odds available from online sportsbooks.

The voting process is one of ice and fire — and blood — and I’m of course referring to the final season of  HBO’s Game of Thrones, which now has betting odds available for both this week’s much-anticipated Episode 3 “The Battle of Winterfell” in addition to whether certain things will happen at the end of Season 8.

Ever since George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novels have been adapted to the HBO television series, viewers have been treated weekly triumphs and several heartbreaking moments when their favorite character is killed off.

Few works of art have managed to pull off that sense of “literally anything could happen next” feeling quite like Game of Thrones, which is likely why it’s the most popular television show on the planet at the moment.

And because the show has a knack for killing off characters unexpectedly, it’s no surprise that oddsmakers put out betting odds for the fate of numerous characters and on who will rule Westeros at the end of the series.

The sure-to-be bloody epic battle in Episode 3 known as “The Battle of Winterfell” will air this Sunday, April 28 at 9 pm ET and the Game of Thrones series finale will air Sunday, May 19 at its regular time on HBO.
